Income Tax Preparation for Individuals, Sole Proprietors & Corporations
At Synscape Solutions, we believe income tax preparation is about more than just filing forms. With over 26 years of experience serving Chestermere, Calgary, Langdon, and Strathmore, we take the time to understand your complete financial picture so we can identify every legitimate deduction and credit available to you.
What We Handle
Personal Income Tax Preparation
Whether you are an employee, self-employed, or have investment income, we prepare and file your T1 returns accurately and on time. We review prior-year returns to identify missed opportunities and ensure you are never paying more than you owe.
Corporate Tax Returns
For incorporated businesses, we prepare T2 corporate tax returns, handle HST/GST obligations, and advise on the most tax-efficient structure for your situation.
Sole Proprietorship Tax Filing
If you are self-employed or operating as a sole proprietor, we prepare your T2125 Statement of Business Activities as part of your personal income tax return. We help you identify eligible business deductions including home office expenses, vehicle costs, supplies, and professional fees.
Tax Planning
We work with you throughout the year, not just at filing time, to make strategic decisions about RRSP contributions, income splitting, capital gains timing, and business expense management.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the deadline for personal income tax filing in Canada?
The standard deadline for most Canadians is April 30. If you or your spouse are self-employed, you have until June 15 to file, but any balance owing is still due by April 30.
What documents do I need to bring for my tax appointment?
You will need your T4 slips (employment income), T5 slips (investment income), RRSP contribution receipts, any self-employment income and expense records, charitable donation receipts, medical expense receipts, and your Notice of Assessment from the previous year.
Can you file taxes for previous years?
Yes. We can prepare and file returns for up to 10 previous tax years. We also review prior returns for missed deductions and can request adjustments from the CRA on your behalf.
How much does tax preparation cost?
Our fees depend on the complexity of your return. A straightforward personal return starts at a competitive rate, while corporate returns and more complex situations are quoted individually. Contact us for a free estimate.
